Havana is among the most architecturally rich and diverse city of the Americas. From the 16th through the mid-20th centuries, Cuba was the backdrop for the greatest and most accomplished architects, city planners and engineers of their times. An architectural journey through Cuba will take you from the Spanish conquest and colonization, the elaborate neoclassical period, art deco and art nouveau; and the most impressive concentration of mid-20th century modern structures in the Americas. Our architectural tours, guided by experts in the field including architects, historians and scholars, offer a window to an architectural history that parallels the social and economic history of the island through the 1950s.
